Entertainment Book Deal
I just received emails from Inbox Dollars and Send Earnings to order a 2010 Entertainment Book for just $19.99 with free shipping!!! This offer is through 2/28/10 and if you order it from the email you get $8 credited to your Inbox Dollars or Send Earnings account. If you don't have either of those accounts, set one (or both) up now. They are basically the same thing. You start out with $5 for each account and receive payment once you reach $30. You get $.02 credited for each email you read and receive various payments for completing various offers. There's icons to the left to sign up for either site and leave a comment if you want more information. I can't guarantee that you'll get this same email, but they send several a day so there's a good chance you will get it. I do recommend setting up a separate email account for these sites so your regular email inbox doesn't get overloaded.

A few of my favorite saving sites
Here's some of the websites I visit on a regular basis to find deals at grocery and drug stores.
Rite Aid - http://www.iheartriteaid.com/
Walgreen's - http://www.iheartwags.com/
Local stores - http://www.couponallies.com/ & http://www.savinginakron.com/
The sites are really great at matching up sale items with coupons and help me to get the most from the deals. If you've never shopped Rite Aid or Walgreens before, the above sites have a small instruction area that explains their Single Check Rebates (SCR) and Register Rewards (RR) programs.

Gevalia Coffee Money Maker
I got my first shipment (and only shipment once I cancel my membership) from Gevalia yesterday. It included 3 boxes of coffee and a travel mug for only $3. I signed up through my Inbox Dollars account and received a $4 credit to my account, so it's a $1 Money Maker. I'm excited to try out my new coffee soon. I picked Breakfast Blend, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut but there are so many more to choose from. If you don't have an Inbox Dollars account yet, click on the link to the left. You start with $5 and get paid once you get to $30. There's surveys to take and some free sites to join. I only pay for 1 of the deals (like the Gevalia one) if I think it's a good deal. If you don't like junkmail though, I recommend opening a separate account. You'll get a lot of emails for offers and you get $.02 for reading each one even if you don't complete the offer.

Walgreens Trip - Almost all free!!!
I went to Walgreen's today and thanks to the newest Olay Mail-in Rebate, I had a net cost of only $1.61. I did it in 2 transactions and checked out at the cosmetics counter. The associate and manager were both very helpful. Originally I was going to do 3 transactions, but worked the scenario out cheaper with just 2. Here's how I did it.
Transaction #1
Gillette Venus Breeze Razor - $9.99 ($2 Manu C)
Olay Body Wash - $5.29 (Free with Razor C)
Olay Body Wash BOGO 50% off - $2.64 ($1 Manu C)
Hershey's Miniatures 19.75 oz & Reese's 19.75 oz - $8/2 ($2 Manu C)
2 - Twizzler's - $3/2
Valentine's Cup - $.39 (needed a filler to use 3 RR's)
Tax $1.19
Total $20.91
Used $9 in RR and $11.21 cash
Received $5 RR from the candy (Buy $10 Hershey's or Twizzler's) & $4 from the Razor
Transaction #2
Gillette Venus Breeze Razor - $9.99 ($2 Manf C)
Olay Body Wash - $5.29 (Free with Razor C)
Valentine's Cup - $.39 (needed a filler to use a RR)
Tax $1.02
Total $9.40
Used $5 in RR (from candy above) and $4.40 cash
Received $4 from the Razor
Total Spent $15.61 and $9 RR. Now have $8 in RR.
Sending a $15 MIR to olay for the 3 body washes. (http://www.olay.com/)
Net cost $1.61 and I have treats for my boys and husband. So even though the entire trip wasn't a money maker, the razors and body wash part was. Not too shabby!

Welcome to my Blog!
I've been a stay at home mom since September 2008 and absolutely love being able to be home with my two sons. Life is crazy here, but it's much more relaxed since I don't have to rush off to work and leave my boys at day care. Since becoming a SAHM I have worked to find ways to save money for our family. This blog will be used to profile any deals I find and encourage other moms who are struggling to stay within budget with their spending for the family. Whether you're a SAHM, a single mom, or a working mom, I hope to have some ideas here to help your family to not only survive financially, but thrive!!!!
